Wander through our working farm at your own pace and soak in the stunning Wairarapa scenery.

On your initial Thompsons Yard Track walk, you'll experience key sites showcasing the heart of our farm, with picturesque views of the valley, rolling hills, the surrounding countryside, and our grazing farm animals.

And for a truly special touch, Emma often prepares delicious homemade afternoon teas featuring her special farm home baking for walkers to enjoy (available on request - please enquire when booking).

    Thompsons Yard Track (Approx. 45 minutes, 2km):

    A leisurely loop walk across farmland offering spectacular views of the Wairarapa valley and Martinborough vineyards. Keep an eye out for our grazing cattle! This gentle stroll offers a fantastic introduction to the Daisybank landscape.

    Trig Track (Approx. 1.5 hours, 5km):

    For a more invigorating experience, this trek takes you to the highest point of our farm, rewarding you with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Wairarapa Valley. On a clear day, you might even spot the South Island in the distance

    Boundary Track (Approx. 1 hour, 3km):

    This path meanders through a mix of farmland, native bush and established trees, offering a peaceful retreat and the chance to listen to the local birdsong. Immerse yourself in the natural sounds and sights of this serene environment.

Horse Trails at Daisybank:
A Scenic Ride Through the Countryside

Our farm offers a variety of trails that wind through our picturesque landscape, providing a memorable experience for both you and your equine companion.

Emma, a keen equestrian with years of riding experience across diverse terrains, has personally explored and can recommend routes suitable for various riding abilities.

Enjoy the freedom of exploring at your own pace, taking in the stunning views and the peaceful atmosphere of the Wairarapa countryside. After your ride, enjoy a refreshing cuppa, the perfect way to relax and share your trail stories.

Expected Trek Distances and Ride Times

  • A rural landscape with a gravel road, green fields, a pond, and a flock of sheep, with trees and mountains in the distance under a clear blue sky.

    Thompsons Yard Track (Approx. 1-1.5 hours, 8 km):

    A relaxed ride through flatter paddocks and along gentle tracks, ideal for a leisurely experience.

    A more adventurous ride taking you through rolling hills with rewarding views of the surrounding landscape.

    Boundary Track (Approx. 2-3 hours, xxx km):

    An extended trek exploring more of the farm's diverse terrain, riding through trees, native bush and river crossings and offering panoramic vistas.

    Overnight Stays

    For those wishing to extend their equestrian adventure, overnight stays are welcome. We offer comfortable grazing paddocks for your horses to rest and reside safely overnight. Please enquire about availability and overnight stay arrangements when booking.

Important Information for Horse Riders:

●       All riders are required to bring their own horses and riding equipment.

●       Please ensure your horse is well-behaved and suitable for varying terrain.

●       We kindly ask that riders respect our property and other visitors.

●       Please be responsible for cleaning up after your horse.

●       Be mindful of livestock and other potential hazards on the farm.
